The Catholic Youth Team is thrilled to present Exalt Conference 2017, a New Zealand national conference focused on worshiping God through music & this year, an added stream for other creative ways to worship God.
Featuring international and national speakers, this weekend is for all musicians, lovers of music and creative people to come together to worship the King, meet people who share the same passions and grow in their gifts given intentionally to them by God to be used for His glory.

The Catholic Church has an incredible range in how She expresses Her love for God through music. From exquisite traditional choral pieces in Mass through to high-energy praise and worship on a stage at a youth event, it is our goal to let you experience and appreciate several different forms of music ministry at EXALT. 
 
 
 

EXALT KEYNOTE AND ELECTIVE SESSION SPEAKERS

EXALT Conference has a raft of experienced, diverse and talented speakers from New Zealand and beyond. Attendees are able to attend Keynote Sessions, choose their own Elective Sessions throughout the conference and be mentored as a band or an individual.

Pat Keady has a twofold passion - youth and music. Director of Ignite Youth, Pat has seen visions of thriving youth ministry come to life and his work with Emmanuel Community and emmanuelworship has been invaluable. A talented musician and lover of Jesus Christ, Pat has years of wisdom to share.

Acting Bishop and Administrator

Fr Rick, currently Administrator of the Diocese of Christchurch whilst waiting for a new Bishop, is Parish Priest of Christ the King Parish Burnside. He has been a priest for 22 years.
 
 
Emma Fradd
Heaps Good Friends band & NET Australia
(Australia)
 
Emma Fradd is a Professional Musician and Catholic Speaker. Her conversion from Atheism provides a volcano of passion for Prayer, specializing in music. She currently lives in Brisbane, Australia where she works full time for NET Ministries, a Catholic Youth Ministry. Emma's band Heaps Good Friends has 20,000 monthly listeners on Spotify as well as a song sitting at #14 on Spotify's Australian Viral Top 50.
 
Damien Walker
Studio of St Philomena

Damien Walker is the founder of the Studio of Saint Philomena which specialises in the restoration and creation of sacred art. Over the past few years The Studio has worked extensively in
Canterbury parishes to help restore and replace heritage artworks damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes.

Fr John Adams is the Vicar of Education in the Christchurch Diocese as well as Parish Priest for St Joseph's & St Gregory's Parishes. He has a strong background in music.
 
Beatitude Sisters
Beatitude Community Sisters

The Beatitude Sisters are white & brown habited women who radiate peace and joy. They live in community in Leithfield, North Canterbury where they run a retreat centre. In the past they have assisted with the Tertiary Chaplaincy at the University of Canterbury.
Marianne Daly
 
Marianne Daly
Parish Advisor, Christchurch Catholic Diocese
 
Marianne has a background in education, liturgy and pastoral ministry. She works with those whose service engages them in the liturgy and Christian initiation. The issues of justice and compliance around copyright have recently come to the fore; she is working to bring these issues to light and help parishes respond justly.
  
Hayden Graham
Creative Lead, More Than Just

Fresh off a year of ministry in Australia, Hayden is currently a multidisciplinary artist and business owner. He has done work for CYT, Hamilton Diocese, Life Teen NZ, NET Ministries and Ignite Youth.
 
 
Dr Cameron Surrey
Catholic Discipleship College Formation & Household Leader
(Auckland)
 
Cameron lives with his wife Cheryl and two daughters, Daisy-Ann and Abigail, on the North Shore of Auckland. He has a PhD in Theology from the University of Otago and is Formation Leader at Catholic Discipleship College. His interests include philosophy, theology and sacred music.
 
Therese Jackman
Songs of Solomon Dresses

Therese lives with her husband Dave in a little cottage they built together in Christchurch. For four years she ran a small business called Songs of Solomon, a boutique line of handmade dresses. She currently works as a dressmaker for a Bridal house in Christchurch.
 
Maria Boddington
Catholic Youth Team & Lifeteen
(Christchurch)
 
 
Maria has served the Church in youth ministry for 12 years. By saying her yes to mission, she’s been blessed to share the Gospel in 28 countries around the world. Maria is currently the Mission Team Coordinator for the Catholic Youth Team and is the Director of Lifeteen NZ.

Jessica is the Music Ministry Coordinator for the Catholic Youth Team's EXALT Music Ministry as well as a worship leader and received training at Worship University at Bethel Church in California as well as spending time at Hillsong Church in Sydney. She is thrilled to see musicians from all over New Zealand come together to learn and worship together.

WILDER WORSHIP NIGHT 

WORSHIP // ADORATION // RECONCILIATION // PRAYER TEAMS
